Asian rice bowl

Good afternoon! I have a healthy, quick and easy new rice bowl recipe for you! My whole family enjoyed it!



1 cup Jasmine rice ( rinsed )

1 tablespoon mushroom better than bouillon

2 teaspoons turmeric

3 onions chopped

1 pint mushrooms quartered

2 cups frozen edamame

2 tablespoons gf hoison sauce ( I use joyce chens )

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 bunch scallions chopped

toasted sesame seeds

2 nori squares sliced thin

1 fillet mignon sliced ( or any other meat of your choice )

Fried eggs ( free range organic )

Rice preparation

In a saucepan combine  2 cups of water with the bouillon and turmeric and let come to a boil,  add in the rice wait for it to come back to a boil then simmer covered for 20 minutes.

Filet Mignon preparation

Vacuum seal and season the meat ( salt and garlic ) and then sous vide for 4 hours at 132 degrees. Once that is done take the meat and slice it up. sous vide cooker we have

*note* you can use whatever meat you would like chicken, pork, or steak, we just happened to have a filet here at home, we always prefer to sous vide our meat but you can cook your meat however you would like.

Onions and mushrooms preparation

Over medium high heat with a tablespoon of olive oil sauté the onions and mushrooms for 15 minutes, then add in the hoison and soy sauce mixture and cook for another 2 minutes.

Edamame preparation

Boil the water for the edamame with salt, once it comes to a boil add in the edamame and cook for 3 minutes, then drain.

Finally fry your egg for on top of the bowl, this really makes the bowl with the yummy runny yolk

Take your bowls and add in rice, onions and mushrooms, meat, edamame, scallions, sesame seeds, nori and finally the fried egg on top, I also like to add in some saleb olek to my bowl for some heat.
